Greater Things - Participate

How do I participate in GREATER THINGS…Journey of Faith?

Pray specifically for our church family, Pastor Darren, the Elders, Staff, and this entire journey. We want to follow God’s lead and are committed to hearing from Him throughout this process. Pray that God will impress upon each one of us at CrossRoads the passion that He has for the people of Wise County.

Ask questions and get answers. Call or talk to any of the Greater Things Leadership Team. Also, ask the Lord questions and expect Him to speak and give direction to you.

Come prepared to hear from God on Sunday mornings. Together we will be examining scripture and what God has to say to us as a congregation. Come expecting. Come ready to receive from Him.

You are encouraged to meet with our Shepherding Team members. Doug Vaughn and his team are prepared to meet with you, pray with you, and help you on this spiritual journey. It is our prayer that God would be speaking to you throughout this process and we would love to give you some tools to assist you. Please do not hesitate to call.

Attend a Journey of Faith Life Group. These groups (along with our existing Life Groups) will meet once a week for the next 5 weeks in and around Decatur. These groups will be studying passages pertaining to biblical stewardship and will certainly be an encouragement for all who attend.

Prayerfully consider your financial commitment to this project. Consider what God is calling you to give and how He wants you to participate. Whether you are one or a family of several, everyone matters. Your contribution is vital to the goals God has placed before us. Our challenge is to pray, hear and trust God for His divine provision over the next three years. May God accomplish all He has for us because we asked, trusted, and gave with obedient faith.

There are a number of ways to give. In addition to cash, many churches and capital campaigns have been blessed by people giving stocks, bonds and land, etc. There may be tax advantages that come with this type of giving. A qualified CPA should be able to answer any questions you might have regarding these types of gifts.

Make your commitment on Commitment Sunday, November 14, 2010, to be fulfilled over the next three years.
