Elaine began working at the Smithfield United Methodist Church, directing their preschool program at the age of 25 with a degree in Range Animal Science. As the school grew and her responsibilities increased, she returned to college to obtain her degree in child development and then did her graduate work at the University of North Texas. She obtained certification as a children’s pastor from the Methodist Church. After 24 years on staff at Smithfield, God called her to CrossRoads. Elaine has a passion to see children and families’ lives changed by a relationship with our living God.

Elaine loves spending time with kids! She has a heart for working with families in our community for whom life is hard, helping them improve their lives by coming into relationship with a church family that embraces people just where they are. She and her husband John are big PBR fans, love messing with their horses and cows, and going to the deer lease in the winter and lake in the summer.
